Current research and teaching
Yi hyun Kang is a post-doc researcher at Lund University since January 2024. She carries out a BECC research project on global climate and biodiversity governance with attention to institutional responses and interactions.
Her research interests center around the decision-making processes of environmental politics. She has developed her interests through work experiences in journalism, international development and research sectors.
Before joining Lund University, Yi hyun was a post-doc researcher at UCLouvain Saint-Louis Bruxelles in Belgium and investigated youth actors in international environmental politics.
She received her PhD from the Technical University of Munich, Germany, with her dissertation on Climate change adaptation in river management: A comparative study of Germany and South Korea.
