European Integration

STVC70 – European Integration (7.5 credits). Bachelor course in Political science. Autumn term.

The course explores the development of the European integration process. It addresses different theoretical traditions for explaining and understanding the integration process and such, as well as the policy-making process in the European Union (EU).

The EU is related to other political entities, such as states and intergovernmental institutions, highlighting differences and similarities, and hence the uniqueness of the EU project. The course provides an overview of how the EU affects the member states. It also discusses the role of political parties and public opinion, at member state level as well as on the European level.
