Main research or teaching areas:
- Gender and Peacebuilding
- Conflict Resolution
- Peace and Conflict Research
Current research:
My research focuses on women's participation in peace negotiations. Rather than looking at women as a homogeneous group, I want to examine their different roles and positions in the peace process by also considering the concept of intersectionality. This will help to understand the complex nature of women's participation in peace negotiations and move beyond the mere representation of women in peace processes to a concept of diversified understanding of their contributions and engagement.
