Project finances

Keep the following in mind before contacting your financial advisor:

• When you receive your grant, you, as the project manager, have the main responsibility for the project's finances. Please, read up on your responsibilities and note that it is you who must check with your economist.
• Before you contact your financial advisor:
  • Is it a matter for the economist? Here you can see who can answer what at the Department: Support & tools | SVETNET – Internal Department of Political Science
  • Often, you may already have the information you are looking for. First, read through what is stated in the grant application and in the decision. It states: the amount, the project period, the cost items (budget), and the financier's terms. Please note that sometimes there is more information in the application itself than in the decision.
• If you then have questions about your project, be clear about which project it concerns and always state the project's activity number.
• When your project is nearing completion, you must have more regular contact with your financial advisor.  You need to check in with them about every three months.
