Current research
Lisette has a background in psychology, environmental governance and Science and Technology Studies. In her research and teaching, she combines critical interpretative research with transdisciplinary engagements with artists, activists and policymakers. She is mainly interested in imaginaries of climate and nature, the role of experts in environmental politics and art-science approaches to imagine sustainable futures.
Lisette is currently part of the NATURESCAPES project where she studies imaginaries of urban nature. In her PhD thesis (2019-2023) at Utrecht University, she studied the influence of Integrated Assessment Models (IAMs) in climate politics. She has also taught various courses on futuring and sustainability.
