 ces\, and safeguarding democratic values\, all while adapting welfare inst
 itutions to new demands for equity\, efficiency\, and trust.To examine the
 se challenges\, we are pleased to invite you to a two-day academic worksho
 p October 20–21\, 2025 at the Department of Political Science\, Lund Uni
 versity\, Sweden. The event brings together local government scholars from
  Sweden and Germany to strengthen research collaboration in the field of l
 ocal government studies.With this call we welcome paper proposals that eng
 age with the workshop’s overarching theme. The program will feature pape
 r presentations (full papers or extended abstracts) and a public roundtabl
 e on the evolving role of European local governments. Participation is fre
 e of charge\, with lunch and dinner provided for all participants.Sign up
