The Higher Research Seminar is the main collective seminar of the Department. The research staff and invited national and international leading scholars present ongoing research and analyses of a broad range of exciting topics of relevance for Political Science.

Professor Wilson currently holds the Fulbright Bicentennial Chair in American Studies at the University of Helsinki (2024-25). He is an internationally acclaimed expert on modern US conservativism, abortion politics, the US supreme court and US political and social movements (e.g. the conservative Christian legal movement). His books “The Street Politics of Abortion” and “The New States of Abortion Politics,” have been featured in the New Yorker, New York Times, Associated Press and Time Magazine. He has a Ph.D. in Jurisprudence & Social Policy from the University of California, Berkeley. Joshua Wilson is Associate Editor (and former Editor in Chief) for the journal Law & Policy.
The Higher Research Seminar is held on Wednesdays 13.15 to 14.30 in Eden 367, unless otherwise indicated. PhD Mid-term seminars 13:15 to 14:45.
