Politics, History and State Making

The group conducts research to advance knowledge about politics, history and state making.

Relevant funding: The Bank of Sweden Tercentenary Foundation

The group investigates a range of issues related to the political history of state making and the global order thus encompassing both the fields of comparative politics, IR and political theory. The group's researchers are, among other things, working with the STANCE research program - State-Making and the Origins of Global Order in the Long Nineteenth Century and Beyond.
