Information for a late hand in

Thesis supervision

Students who have not completed their theses within the given time frame are normally offered one additional meeting with their supervisor.

Please make sure that you are re-registered on the right thesis course (i.e. the one being given when you are handing in rather than your original one). If you need to re-register, e-mail your name, social security number, and which thesis course you’re taking to our student councellors (studievagledare [at] svet [dot] lu [dot] se).

Date and time for next submission deadline

  • A few times a year, normally in March and August  the department provides additional opportunities to hand in theses. Please check the page Writing a thesis for confirmed hand-in dates.
  • The submission procedure is identical to the regular submissions, please read these instructions carefully.
  • Please note that all students, also those from earlier terms, are invited to submit their theses in conjunction with the regular submission deadlines in January and May respectively.

Thesis seminar schedules

Will be sent out via email, normally later on the day of submitting the paper.

Routines for thesis submission

Three paper copies are to be handed in. In addition, the thesis must be sent in to Urkund and submitted electronically in LUP before 11.00 the same day.

Before you submit your thesis you are required to send the final version of it for review in Urkund (thesis [dot] svetlu [at] analys [dot] urkund [dot] se).

LUP Student Papers

Before you hand in the paper copies of your thesis, you should submit it electronically as a PDF document in Lund University Publications Student Papers (LUP), see more detail below. If you experience any problems with the electronic registration, please contact your librarian or the thesis administrators.

Paper copies

Finally, you hand in 3 paper copies of your thesis to the thesis administrators (see date and time on the lesson plan in Live@Lund). Paper copies must be handed in; otherwise the thesis cannot be examined.
