Linda Eitrem Holmgren

Political Science

Between 2016 and 2020 I completed my doctoral studies at the Transitional Justice Institute at Ulster University in Belfast, Northern Ireland. I passed my viva in December 2020 with my thesis "Building Gender-Just Citizenship in Northern Ireland: Women's Political Participation and Transversal Politics in a Deeply Divided Society".

Current research and projects

During 2022, I am working as coordinator and web-editor at LU's Centre for Advanced Middle Eastern Studies (CMES). In addition to this, I am part of the research project Gendering Peacemaking in the Middle East.

In 2021, I worked with a range of researchers and research projects at the Department of Political Science. I was also in charge of the department's course evaluations and worked with the administration of student theses. 

Between 2015 and 2018 I worked as project coordinator and research assistant in the research project STANCE. The project addressed how state-making affected the international system in the 19th century and beyond. STANCE's external website
