Personal pages and social media
As a lecturer and researcher, you are responsible for ensuring that your personal pages are kept up to date on the Department of Political Science’s Swedish and English websites.
How do I update my personal pages?
Staff members who have personal pages on our external websites are responsible for keeping them up to date. You need to log in to both the English and Swedish sites to be able to edit them. Here’s how:
Log in to our websites
Log in to our Swedish website: www.svet.lu.se/user
Log in to our English website: www.svet.lu.se/en/user
Go to your personal page and click ‘Edit’
In the Kicker field, you can enter your title. Under Image, you can upload a photo of yourself (NB: black and white photo). In the Body field, enter your text information: research, teaching, and so on.
Remember to click Save at the bottom of the page. Don’t forget to update your profile in LUCRIS as well
For more information on creating and editing personal pages, see: Guides in English | Webbpublicering
Template for personal page
Your personal page retrieves information from other administrative systems such as Lucat and Primula, so you’ll need to change the details there if you want them to appear differently on your personal page. The title in the line below your name is generated automatically, but can also be changed by filling in the ‘Kicker’ field. There, you can, for example, add further titles or teaching qualifications. The automatic publication list is optional, but as the vast majority of visitors come to the Research Portal, the recommendation is to spend more time updating your profile there instead. You can do this in LUCRIS.
Other information on your personal page must follow these formats:
- Black-and-white image
- Presentation of yourself as a researcher (in the text field)
- Subject area (Political Science, Peace and Conflict Studies, and/or Intelligence Analysis) – Heading level H2
- Research and areas of interest in bullet point format – Heading level H3
- Ongoing research – Heading level H3
- Fact boxes for the right-hand margin – optional (if included, the fact boxes should be in brown).
- Brief introduction about yourself
- Research groups you are involved in (list of links)
- Research projects
- Teaching
- High-resolution image (preferably in colour for press use)
Social media
The department has a Facebook account where we publish posts about the news items featured on our website, as well as job vacancies, other media events linked to the department, and posts we share from other parts of Lund University to generate interest and create a positive impression of the university.
