News template and what we publish
If you need help with a news story that you think should be brought to the media’s attention, please contact our communications officer or the faculty’s press officer. Here you can read about what we do and do not publish, as well as what our news template looks like.
News template
When you have a news item, please send the following information to the web editor (in both Swedish and English):
- Suggested title (Use a maximum of 90 characters to ensure it displays correctly on all types of screens; please include the names of the people the news item is about, but omit any titles)
- A brief lead
- A short, engaging popular science summary of the publication’s content and findings in plain language (approx. 100 words)
- Author
- Title of the publication/article
- Link to the publication/article
Other news
For news items not relating to books, book chapters, or articles, please contact the web editor for further information. The same applies if you have news tips.

On our websites, we generally publish the following news items
- Grants and new research projects
- Books (must be peer-reviewed, for example by an editor)
- Book chapters (must be peer-reviewed, for example by an editor)
- Academic journal articles (must be peer-reviewed, for example by an editor)
- Doctoral defences
- Student news
- Major events
As a rule, we do not publish the following on our websites
- Media appearances (published only on social media)
- Conference papers
- Presentations/keynote speeches
- Press releases
There may be exceptions to the guidelines above, but these must be approved by management.
Who may be the sender
- Our employees
- Doctoral students who have recently completed their doctoral thesis but do not hold any other position
