The Higher Research Seminar is the main collective seminar of the Department. The research staff and invited national and international leading scholars present ongoing research and analyses of a broad range of exciting topics of relevance for Political Science.

About Margaretha Järvinen:

Margaretha Järvinen is a Professor of Sociology at the University of Copenhagen. Järvinen’s primary fields of research are in academic careers, institutional identities, symbolic interactionism, youth and drugs, vulnerable groups, and qualitative methods.

 Her publication record within these areas includes books and over 45 peer-reviewed articles in journals such as Social Science & Medicine, Sociology of Health and Illness, Current Sociology, Youth and Society, Time & Society, British Journal of Criminology, Qualitative Inquiry and Symbolic Interaction.

The Higher Research Seminar is held on Wednesdays 13.15 to 14.30 in Eden 367, unless otherwise indicated. PhD Mid-term seminars 13:15 to 14:45.
