Current Research and Teaching
In my PhD-project, I explore how Swedish transport and environmental politics is constructed. I am interested in questions of power and language, especially in connection to overarching ideas about sustainability, mobility and growth.
More concretely, the PhD-position is part of a project that evaluates the so called urban environment agreements. The urban environment agreements is an initiative by the present Swedish government where cities and regions are able to apply for co-financing of public transport investments with the aim to create sustainable urban environments.
The PhD-position is a collaboration between the Department of Political Science at Lund University and the Swedish Knowledge Centre for Public Transport, K2, and I therefore share my time between these two work places. As for now, I spend most of my time at the Department of Political Science at Umeå University.
I teach on the courses MVEB15 Environmental Politics and Public Administration (Lund) and 5MH000 Environment and Society (Umeå).
