Political Science: The Politics of Development
CONGRATULATIONS AND WELCOME TO THE COURSE STVC02
We are happy to welcome you to the Department of Political Science at Lund University. In order to accept and secure our offer please read the information below carefully.
Compulsory introductory meeting
The semester starts with a compulsory introductory meeting and introductory lecture on August 30, room Eden 236. Please note, since we have a large group of students the introductory lecture will be held twize. The first is 15.15 to 16.45 and the second one 16.45 - 18.15. One of the lectures will also be streamed digitaly.
You will be divided into two groups and the information will be published on Canvas shortly.
If you fail to attend without notifying the academic advisors you will loose your spot on the course which will be offered to a student on the waiting list.
Eligibility and Conditional offer
Specific Entry Requirements: 75 percent completed studies from your first year of studies in the program.
If you do not fulfil the above at the time of admission you have received a conditional offer. You must therefore present documents verifying your eligibility in connection with the introductory meeting.
It is important that you do the web registration on time or else you will lose your place and it will be offered to another applicant.

Canvas - Lund University’s learning management platform
Once you have registered you will be granted access to the course module on Canvas. Please note that there is a slight delay from your registration until you can access the course on Canvas.
Schedule and classes
Classes are schedule 2-3 times a week. Part of the classes are compulsory.
The 2021 autumn semester planning assumes that teaching and assessment will be conducted both digitally and on campus, provided that the relevant public authotities' regulations and recommendations allow campus-based teaching. International students are prioritized regarding on-campus lectures and seminars. For more information, please read more about the decision of the Faculty of Social Sciences.
The course ends on October 31, 2021.
