Additional courses and study opportunities
Please note that you must take at least 15 ECTS credits at the Department of Political Science in Lund. This requirement applies only to students coming to Lund under an exchange agreement with our department.

Undergraduate course
For the course War and Peace in the Israeli-Palestinian Conflict, you need 30 ECTS credits in Political Science or Peace and Conflict to be eligible.

Master courses
You may apply for Master's level courses if you have completed at least 90 ECTS credits in Political Science and 60 ECTS credits in other subjects, provided that your home university has an exchange agreement with our department that permits Master's level studies. Admission is subject to available places and the fulfilment of the course prerequisites, as specified in the course syllabus.

Special Area Studies (SAS)
Lund University offers Special Area Studies (SAS), a range of courses designed specifically for exchange students. These courses provide insights into Scandinavian and European societies, cultures and contemporary issues. You can combine SAS courses with courses offered by the Department of Political Science.
Please note that admission to some SAS courses is based on a first-come, first-served basis. If you are interested in taking one of these courses, we recommend submitting your application as soon as the online application period opens.

Swedish language courses for exchange students
As an exchange student at Lund University, you have the opportunity to apply for Swedish language courses. These courses offer an introduction to the Swedish language and culture and provide an opportunity to develop basic language skills during your exchange studies.
As the number of places is limited, not all applicants can be offered a place. Approximately half of the exchange students who apply are admitted to a course. Note that Swedish language courses are normally outside the scope of exchange agreements and admission cannot be guaranteed.
