Director of the Center on American Politics. Researches and teaches about political parties, state legislatures, and campaigns and elections.
Assistant Professor Jesse Acevedo
Research that focuses on political economy, democratization, and international migration. Particularly interested in the political economy of emigration and remittances in developing countries.
Assistant Professor Phil Chen
Studies race, ethnicity, gender, and partisanship in political psychology, as well as political communication and how voters interpret and react to appeals from politicians and the media.
Assistant Professor Alena Wolflink
Her research examines the construction of narratives about democracy and citizenship through analyses of the undercurrents of race, gender, and sexuality discourses in the language of political economy.
