Photographs in disability politics

Niklas Altermark and Emil Edeborg have published their article “Visualizing the Included Subject: Photography, Progress Narratives, and Intellectual Disability” in the journal ”Subjectivity”.

In the article, Altermark and Edenborg examine how photographs are used to create a progress narrative of disability politics that hamper our understanding of how this group is being oppressed today.
