EU mediation effectiveness in the Russia–Ukraine conflict

Ole Elgström has, together with Natalia Chaban and Michèle Knodt, co-authored the article ”Perceptions of EU mediation and mediation effectiveness: Comparing perspectives from Ukraine and the EU”, which has been published in the journal Cooperation and Conflict.

The authors analyse the European Union (EU) as ‘an effective peacemaker’. They contribute to this field by investigating perceptions of EU mediation effectiveness in the Russia–Ukraine conflict. One finding is that perceived incoherence is considered an obstacle for effective peacemaking.
