A study on alternative views of history in protracted conflicts

Lisa Strömbom has recently published the article "Exploring Prospects for Agonistic Encounters in Conflict Zones: Investigating Dual Narrative Tourism in Israel/Palestine" in “Alternatives”.

The study introduces an analytical framework designed to investigate facilitating and hindering circumstances when introducing and disseminating alternative views of history in communities torn by protracted conflicts. The empirical analysis is based on extensive field studies in Israel and on the West Bank where interviews were conducted with guides working on alternative tourism.
