Introduction:

 

Maysam Behravesh was admitted as a PhD Candidate in Political Science at Lund University in May 2012 after obtaining an MA (Hons) in British Studies from the University of Tehran, Iran, in 2011. With his research interests centering broadly around security studies, political psychology, as well as Middle Eastern and South Asian politics, he currently serves as a Senior Editor of Asian Politics & Policy (Wiley-Blackwell) and the Editorial Assistant of Cooperation and Conflict (Sage). Titled "The Political Psychology of Nuclearization", Maysam's doctoral thesis investigates the impact of identity motives and emotive drives on the nuclear behavior of revisionist states, particularly deploying ontological security theory and narrative methodology for the purpose.
