General

As a student at Lund University we want you to feel at home using the information technology. One of the tools for this is the Student UserID (StiL-ID) that every student receives once registered as a student at Lund University. The exchange students get the information regarding the account in the personal "Welcome package".

StiL-ID is your unique student account while you study at Lund, and it is the key to a number of services that Lund University offers its students.

Email, Student Portal, Student Account (StiL)

The Lund University Student Account Service provides help and support with:

• your student computer identity/login (StiL)
• your student email account (Google apps)
• the student portal - this is where you can access the LADOK database to view your academic results, print LADOK certificates or transcripts of records, change your personal contact information and more
• wireless internet access around campus
• other computing-related support

Email accounts

All students at Lund University have a Google Apps email account. Your Google Apps account gives you:

• an email account
• a calendar
• Google Docs (a web-based "office system" through which you can share documents with fellow students)
• Google Talk (through which you can chat with your friends)
• the ability to create your own website

• Webmail login – Google Apps 
• Changing your visible email address

Software

As a student you can download a number of programmes with license at the Student Portal:

• Eduroam
• EndNote
• Reference Manager
• SPSS
• Staroffice
• VPN
• almost every Microsoft programme except the Office Packet
  

Your faculty may also provide programmes for download.
