Ina Möller on Malmö panel about climate confusion

RESEARCHER OUTREACH: The public event “Klimatförvirring” (Climate Confusion) with the aim of explaining the 2015 Paris Climate Conference COP21 was held at Malmö University yesterday (4/11).

Ina Möller, Doctoral student at the Department of Political Science, was on the local expert panel in Malmö.

Five speakers from three different cities, Stockholm, Umeå and Malmö, were connected in a live-streamed broadcast to talk about COP21 from diffferent perspectives. The local Malmö panel of experts spoke about ​​climate negotiations and the environmental movement's role.

On the Malmö-panel:

  • Ina Möller, PhD in political science, in climate policy and environmental management
  • Thomas Hedlund, lecturer on climate negotiations in general and COP21 in particular
  • Birk Andersson, lecturer on climate negotiations, Naturskyddsföreningen
  • Caroline West Blom, PUSH Sweden, active in the climate movement and accredited to COP21 for PUSH Sweden
     

The event was initiated by PUSH Sweden, a digital platform and a national network for young people who are interested in and involved in sustainability issues.

The world's countries will meet in Paris for COP21, the UN climate summit, on the 30th November until the 11th December 2015. This will be a crucial conference as it needs to achieve a new international agreement on the climate that will apply from 2020.
