Catarina Kinnvall is Professor at the Department of Political Science at Lund University where she has been lecturing since 1998. She is the coordinator of the Masters in Global Studies Programme and teaches at the Centre for East and South East Asian Studies at Lund University. She is also coordinating the Network for Political Psychology and has been on the board of the South Asian Studies Network (SASNET). She is the former Vice-President of the International Society of Political Psychology (ISPP). Her research interests are focused on issues of globalization, security, religion, nationalism and political psychology. Empirically her work deals with Asia and Europe, with a particular focus on issues of security and religion in India, Pakistan and among Muslims in the West. Her many extended research visits include Hong Kong University, Jawaharlal Nerhu University, Melbourne University and University of California, Irvine. She is currently the co-editor of the Palgrave Series in Political Psychology, co-editor of the Palgrave Handbook of Global Political Psychology, and the coordinator of a project on Ontological Security and International Relations.
