Introduktion

In Spring 2011, I was accepted as a PhD Candidate at the Department of Political Science at Lunds University. My PhD project is funded by the strategic research area called BECC - Biodiversity and Ecosystem Service in a Changing Climate, which in turn is funded by the Swedish Research Council. In 2012 I was accepted to the Young Scientist Summer Program at the International Institute for Advance System Analysis.

In 2010, I earned my MSc. in European Affairs at the same seat of learning. For my masters thesis, I wrote a critical analysis of the EU climate policy leadership titled - “A Concept of Convenience? How the concept of leadership has been used in relation to the EU and climate regime formation”. In addition, to my academic career I have work at: the Danish Ministry for Transport, Better Place (electric vehicle operator), the European Parliament and BRG Consult (market consultant on energy efficiency). I have a wife and three children.

Research focus

My area of research is found within global environmental governance. More specifically it revolves around REDD+ (Reducing Emissions from Deforestation and Forest Degradation) where I study the role of discourses  in shaping governance structure of REDD+.
