Introduktion
In 2002 I defended my PhD-thesis at the Department of Political Science, Lund University, and in 2010 I was employed as a senior lecturer. Between 2004 and 2009 I worked at the Centre for East and South-East Asian Studies, also Lund University, as a researcher, lecturer and director of studies. My research interests concern policy processes and governance issues, with special focus on international cooperation and global-local linkages in low- and middle-income countries. Through my longstanding collaboration with public health researchers I have worked with health issues and how to translate research into policy. Much of my research has involved fieldwork, primarily in Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam. I have been teaching at all levels, coordinating courses within the fields of development studies, policy studies, comparative politics and international relations. Since July 2011, I am programme director for Master of Science in Development Studies at the Faculty of Social Science. In May 2012 I was promoted to Excellent Teaching Practitioner at the Faculty.

Forskning
My area of research mainly concerns international cooperation, policy processes and governance issues with special focus on global-local linkages in low- and middle-income countries. Empirically I have studied pharmaceutical policies and HIV/AIDS policies in South East Asia, together with how research can influence policymaking in the health care sector. More recently I have started to focus on issues related to global health and non-communicable diseases. My research has involved cooperation with researchers in South East Asia as well as in public health, and I have had long-standing research collaboration with the Division of Global Health (IHCAR), Karolinska Institutet, Stockholm (see personal webpage). I am currently involved in the research programme Democray Beyond the Nation State? Transnational Actors and Global Governance (see link below) focussing on governance issues in the field of health. I am also involved in the capacity-building EU-funded project Consortium for Health Policy and Systems Analysis in Africa (CHEPSAA) focussing on research for health in Africa together with partners in UK, South Africa, Tanzania, Kenya, Ghana, Nigeria, Switzerland and Sweden (with IHCAR) (see project webpage, also see flyer).

Undervisning
Kristina Jönsson är av fakulteten utsedd som Excellent Teaching Practitioner (ETP) och därmed medlem i den pedagogiska akademin
Over the years I have taught various courses at all levels in the fields of politics and development, (health) policy, comparative politics, international relations, politics in East and Southeast Asia, and methodology. I have co-supervised two PhD-candidates to graduation and I am currently co-supervising another two PhD-candidates. Besides teaching at the Department of Political Science (see below) I have taught at the Centre for East and South-East Asian Studies within the Masters Programme in Asian Studies. The last few years I have also been teaching and supervising at LUMID (Lund University Master Programme in International Development and Management), the Master of Science in Development Studies, and the Bachelor Programme in Development Studies (BIDS) - all at Lund University. Since July 2011, I am the programme director for Master of Science in Development Studies at the Faculty of Social Science. In May 2012 I was promoted to Excellent Teaching Practitioner at the Faculty.
