Introduktion
I am currently undertaking research in relation to the project “International Economic Institutions and Domestic Actors in the Climate Regime Complex - the Cases of Climate Financing and Fossil Fuel Subsidies”. The research project aims at analysing how international economic institutions such as the Group of 20 (G20) and the Organisation for Cooperation and Development in Europe (OECD) have influenced the international climate politics. My previous research at the Department centred around the project "Leadership Abandoned? – Explaining the EU’s Position in the Global Climate Change Negotiations 2007-2010". The project (funded by the Swedish Research Council Formas) , analyses factors influencing the EU's willingness to commit to climate policies with potentially high costs, including reduction targets and commitments to provide financing to climate measures in developing countries. I joined the Department in January 2010 after working as a civil servant in the international climate change team at the Danish Ministry of Finance. My doctorate, obtained at the European University Institute, Florence, addressed the EU’s and other organisations’ treatment of the issue of the Hungarian minorities in Romania and Slovakia.
