Introduktion
I am associate professor and senior lecturer and joined the Department of Political Science at Lund University in August 2011. Before this I was a junior professor at the Mannheim Centre for European Social Research (MZES), University of Mannheim, Germany (2007–2011). I received my Ph.D. from Uppsala University in October 2003, and I have held post-doctoral fellowships at the European University Institute in Florence, Italy (2005–2006), and the University of Twente in the Netherlands (2006–2007). My research focuses mainly on political parties and coalition politics in Western European parliamentary democracies (coalition formation, cabinet duration, portfolio allocation, ministerial selection and reshuffles), political participation and voting behaviour. I am also interested in research methods and in my more recent research I also focus on political economy. Some of my publications can be found under "List of publications", and my full Curriculum Vitae can be downloaded here.

I have previously taught courses at Uppsala University and University of Mannheim. In Uppsala, I was involved in teaching and organizing the advanced course in research methods. The course was required for all last-term BA students of political science and for some students from other fields, and it included both lectures and seminars. The aim of the course was to cover both qualitative and quantitative methods and to teach students how to design their own research. In Mannheim I have organized and taught a number of courses in Comparative Politics, for example two different seminars for advanced BA students (one focused on rational choice theory and one focused on parliamentary democracies), a MA lecture on comparative government, and an advanced MA seminar aimed at introducing coalition theories and the methods used to evaluate them. In 2009 I was in charge of the introductory lecture for Comparative Politics, required for all BA students of Political Science at University of Mannheim. At Lund University I have mainly been involved in the supervision and examination of MA students, and during the spring term 2012, I developed a new course in comparative politics for BA students together with Johannes Lindvall ('Hur stater styrs').
