 Head of Department 2006-2008. Member of the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences since 2006. Field of specialization: International Politics.
Research interests: international negotiation, diplomacy and the role of transnational networks in international cooperation.
 Latest completed research project: "Essence of Diplomacy" (in collaboration with Martin Hall, funded by Riksbankens Jubileumsfond). Since January 2008 director of a six-year collaborative Lund-Stockholm research program "Democracy Beyond the Nation State? Transnational Actors and Global Governance," funded by Riksbankens Jubileumsfond.
