I have been teaching extensively in the fields of international politics, peace- and conflict studies, environmental and feminist studies. My research interests are in environmental and climate politics and the politics of sustainable development in the Swedish, European and global context as well as in gender studies particularly in the field of security and defense.

Forskning
Environmental and Climate Research I work in various multidisciplinary research projects with focus on sustainability, environmental and climate politics. My most recent articles in this field are 'Legitimacy for climate policies: politics and participation in the Green City of Freiburg', Local Environment: The International Journal of Justice and Sustainability, http://www.tandfonline.com/eprint/iXkJiPxVipMNXBd3Q2CI/full Between 2009 and June 2013 I have been deputy director of the research program: Governing transitions towards Low-Carbon Energy and Transport Systems for 2050 (www.LETS2050.se). The core mission of the four year research programme was to identify, explore and suggest ways forward in order to reach ambitious climate policy objectives. The overarching research question for the program was: What societal transitions are implied by low-carbon futures and how can these transitions be governed and implemented to meet challenging climate policy objectives? Some of the results were published in a the report. http://www.lth.se/fileadmin/lets2050/Rapporter_o_Abstracts/130522_I_Ljuset_av_LETS_2050_webb.pdf Since the fall semester of 2008 I am partner in LUCID Lund University Centre of Excellence for Integration of Social and Natural Dimnsions of Sustainability, (www.lucid.lu.se) a research platform that aims at creating new and unique synergies across natural and social sciences in order to develop new integrated theories and methods for addressing complex sustainability issues. It is both a platform for researchers to discuss their research, develop new projects and a Ph. D research school. Since 2010 I am involved as ’principal investigator’ in Biodiversity and Ecosystem services in a Changing Climate (BECC) a strategic research inititative at Lund univeristy that strives for a better understanding of the impacts of climate change and land use decisions on ecosystems and biodiversity. (www.cec.lu.se/o.o.i.s/23981) Gender and Feminist Studies of Militaries, Defense and Peacekeeping I also have a long-standing interest in research in the area of Gender in Security and Defense issues. In the past I have received funding for a number of projects in this field of research and published in this field. My most recent publications are: Gender, Sex and the Postnational Defense. Militarism and Peacekeeping, Oxford University Press, 2012 and Making gender, making war - violence, military and peacekeeping practices, co-edited with Erika Svedberg, London and New York: Routledge 2012.
